‘Nexus Prime’ Could be Google’s Next Big Android Phone
The rumors hold out rolling in that Google's incoming flagship Humanoid phone, which may be named the Google Nexus Superior, is set to launch this fall and could confrontation against Apple iPhone 5 and Microsoft's Windows Telephone Mangifera indica.
Google has reportedly been using the "Nexus Prime" name internally, but may adopt IT for retail, according to Son Whiz Report. Samsung is rumored to be the manufacturer, and may equip the phone with a "Super AMOLED HD" display with 720p resolution. Information technology's unclear what exactly a "Super AMELED HD" display is, but it is assumed the Nexus Prime would ingest a 1280 x 768 picture element resolution.
As with previous Nexus phones, the Prime would accompany a consummate version of Android — in this case Ice Cream Sandwich — and no carrier bloatware.
For now, that's all the refreshing information available. BGR previously reported that the next-gen Link will cause a dual-substance processor (1.2 GHz or 1.5 GHz), indorse for a 4G LTE network, an advance 5-megapixel camera and a button-free front board. Android 4.0, or Chicken feed Cream Sandwich, will reportedly get rid of physical buttons, for better Beaver State worse.
BGR does throw one more curveball into its report: In addition to the Nexus Prime, Google may be working with wireless carriers and call makers on individual flagship devices running Ice Cream Sandwich. It's not clear which carriers will funding the Nexus Prime — assuming it very exists — but at least this direction all carriers will have a Google-approved smartphone to sell this fall.
Last calendar month, I wrote well-nig how the leg was set for a major smartphone OS encounter this fall, between Android Ice Cream Sandwich, Apple's iOS 5 and Microsoft's Windows Phone Mango (and a delicious-sounding confrontation, to boot). But betwixt the next Nexus phone, the next iPhone and whatever Microsoft is cooking up with Nokia, we're also headed for a big hardware battle among flagship phones. This is releas to be good.
